We're excited to share that LUGSASK has officially become a registered non-profit organization.
This milestone marks an important step in the growth of our community. Becoming a registered non-profit gives LUGSASK a formal organizational structure, helps ensure long-term sustainability, and opens new opportunities for partnerships, funding, events, and educational initiatives. In Saskatchewan, non-profit corporations are formally incorporated through the provincial Corporate Registry process.
For our members and supporters, the day-to-day spirit of LUGSASK remains the same: a welcoming community dedicated to Linux, open source software, learning, collaboration, and sharing knowledge. What changes is our ability to build on that foundation with greater stability and accountability.
As a non-profit, any resources generated by the organization are directed toward advancing its mission rather than private benefit, helping ensure that the community remains focused on education, advocacy, and member-driven activities.
We want to thank everyone who has contributed their time, expertise, enthusiasm, and support over the years. This achievement belongs to the entire community.
We're looking forward to the next chapter for LUGSASK and to continuing our work promoting Linux, open source technologies, and digital literacy throughout Saskatchewan.
